It is with great pleasure that I can announce to the Club’s community the appointment of our inaugural Director of Football Operations – Phil Ballis.
Those of you have had the opportunity to read the Club’s Strategic Plan for 2010-2013 will have seen a detailed Position Description developed for this new position. Whilst this exciting new position will be a work in progress and evolve through the Football Operations Sub-committee, it is a co-ordination and mentoring role that covers all teams, players and coaching personnel.
In a sense, it is an all-encompassing on-field operational role for the Club that works very closely with our Senior Coach, Tim Killworth, to ensure that our playing direction and philosophies are understood and embraced from our most junior players right through to our senior personnel.
We are thrilled to have attracted someone of the calibre and experience of Phil Ballis to accept this pivotal role.
Phil has had a wealth of experience and success in both junior and senior football with over 20 years experience in a number of clubs and leagues including the Yarra Junior Football League and the Southern Football League.
Phil was attracted to our Club by our junior development plans and our methodical commitment to encouraging involvement, input, planning and process to our future.
Please make yourself known to Phil Ballis when you have the opportunity and we look forward to his valued involvement in our Club’s future.
