Director of Finance

OBJECTIVES

• To ensure that a financial management and reporting system is functional and operable so the Committee of Management has an accurate understanding of the financial status of the Club at all times.
• To provide financial leadership to ensure the achievement of the Club’s plans and objectives.
• To report and provide support to the Executive and Committee of Management to ensure the Club’s efficient and profitable operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with the Executive and the Committee of Management, is responsible for the financial management of the Club and contributes to the overall strategic planning, development and effectiveness of the Club.
• Maintains the Club’s financials and accounts, including all necessary statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and maintain budgets in consultation with the Committee of Management to reflect income and expenditure forecasts.
• Attend Executive and Committee of Management Meetings and provide regular financial reports.
• Receipt all moneys received and attend to general banking activities.
• Present all accounts for payment for approval.
• Oversee, liaise and seek reports from all other portfolios with financial transactions.
• Ensure all taxation and insurance commitments are met by the Club.
• Prepare annual financial accounts.
• Report on the financial activities of the Club to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.

RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to the Club Executive and the Committee of Management.
• Liaises with all members and workers of the Club with financial responsibilities.
• Liaises with all creditors and debtors of the Club as required.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• The Director of Finance is accountable to the Executive and Committee of Management.
• The Director of Finance shall seek ratification from the Committee of Management for an Annual Club Budget and thereafter shall have the authority to act within the limits of the budget and the strategies approved.
• The Director of Finance shall provide a monthly report to the Committee of Management of all financial transactions.
