Director of Facilities & Property
OBJECTIVES
• To lead an enthusiastic sub-committee charged with the effective provision, maintenance and operation of all of the Club’s facilities, equipment and property.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with the Committee of Management, is responsible for all facilities and property controlled by the Club and contributes to the overall strategic planning, development and effectiveness of the Club.
• Develops a plan and budget for facilities & property activities of the Club required during the operational year.
• Undertake tasks at the request of the President, Executive or Committee of Management.
• Attend Committee of Management Meetings and provide a regular report on facilities & property.
• Oversee the effective management of all relevant areas including playing field preparation and safety, sporting equipment and uniforms, Club asset management, post training/post-match social provisions and canteen operations.
• Prepare in advance an operational calendar for the football season and ensure it is widely publicised.
• Ensure that all expenses incurred by the Facilities & Property Sub-committee fall within developed and approved budgets and that any variations are brought to the Executive for approval prior to the Club being committed to the variation.
• Attend Committee of Management Meetings and provide regular sub-committee reports.
RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to the Club Executive and the Committee of Management.
• Leads the Facilities & Property Sub-committee and attracts as many interested people as required to assist on this sub-committee.
ACCOUNTABILITY
• The Director of Facilities & Property is accountable to the Executive and Committee of Management.
• The Director of Facilities & Property shall seek ratification from the Committee of Management for an operational budget and shall thereafter have the authority to act within the limits of the agreed terms without reference to the Committee of Management.
