Director of Social & Fundraising

OBJECTIVES

• To lead an enthusiastic sub-committee charged with coordinating all fundraising and social activities for the Club.
• To ensure sufficient funds are raised to enable the Club to operate profitably with ongoing profits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with the Committee of Management, is responsible for all social and fundraising aspects of the Club and contributes to the overall strategic planning, development and effectiveness of the Club.
• Develops a budget for fundraising activities of the Club aimed at securing sufficient funds to meet the financial requirements of the Club.
• Develop a proposal, for ratification by the Committee of Management, for sponsorship packages to be offered by the Club to attract as broad a sponsorship as possible.
• Prepare in advance a Social calendar for the football season and ensure it is widely publicised.
• Co-ordinate all sponsorship for all areas of the Club.
• Ensure all aspects of sponsorship deals are in place prior to the commencement of the season and that all sponsorship agreements are honoured.
• Ensure the Social & Fundraising sub-committee manages effective relationships with all Club sponsors and major supporters.
• Arrange a Sponsors/Major Supporter’s Dinner at an appropriate time in the year.
• Attend Committee of Management Meetings and provide regular sub-committee reports.

RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to the Club Executive and the Committee of Management.
• Leads the Social & Fundraising Subcommittee and attracts as many interested people as required to assist on this sub-committee.
• Supports any person responsible for providing services associated with sponsorships.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• The Director of Social & Fundraising is accountable to the Executive and Committee of Management.
• The Director of Social & Fundraising shall seek ratification from the Committee of Management for sponsorship packages and social events and shall thereafter have the authority to act within the limits of the agreed terms without reference to the Committee of Management.
